In the fall of 2023, Electronic Image had the extraordinary opportunity to produce live visuals for composer Randall Dunn at the prestigious Le Guess Who? festival in Utrecht, Netherlands. With musical credits including collaborations with Sunn O))), Earth, Danny Elfman, and Marissa Nadler, Dunn is known for a production style that coheres analog techniques with mystical, otherworldly sound design. The festival, renowned for its cutting-edge and experimental music lineup, provided the perfect stage for our environmental visual artistry. Electronic Image crafted song-specific looping assets for the live set, and integrated tools to dynamically affect these visuals in real-time. The visual component, performed live alongside Dunn, acted as visual counterpoint for his soundscapes, creating a memorable, immersive experience for festival-goers.
